How do I make an appointment?

Currently due to Covid 19 we are currently not working our usual Open Access clinics, however we do continue to see patients face to face, we are also continuing our telephone consultations.  Not all medical issues need a face to face appointment with a clinician or nurse.

We are unable to book a Telephone Consultation with one of our clinicians multiple days in advance, we are only currently working on a DAY to DAY basis.

This is to ensure there are adequate spaces for medical attention needed on that day.

To make an appointment with a GP or Advanced Nurse Prescriber please contact Reception on 01889 590208 between 8am and 10:30am and speak to one of our Medical Receptionists who will triage your call to the most appropriate clinician and relevant clinic.

The clinician will then aim to meet your request, whether that be a telephone consultation, video consultation or a face to face appointment.

We aim to return all of your appointment request calls on the same day.

Depending on your medical issue the Receptionist may also ask for some photos to be sent over for the clinician to view ahead of your consultation, this can be for rashes, spots, etc as this provides a clear picture and gives the clinician an overview ahead of your consultation.

Appointments face to face with a GP:

We still continue to offer face to face appointments with the clinician if appropriate and these remain both morning and evening surgeries only. During your telephone consultation with the GP or ANP you will be able to decide together if this is appropriate for you. If it is deemed so, you will be invited to see the clinician as soon as possible, preferably the same day.

Appointments face to face with a HCA or Nursing Team:

Appointments with our Nursing Team will also need to be booked via telephone with our Receptionist, we are able to book these appointments in advance to ensure we can arrange a suitable day or time for you needs, these are also both morning and evening surgeries only.

Phlebotomy Clinics:

We offer phlebotomy clinics four morning a week with our Health Care Assistants.

Please phone Reception and book your appointment time, it is very important that you attend the surgery ONLY 5 minutes ahead of your appointment, any appointment time which is missed or you arrive late, we may have to re-arrange your appointment to another day.

INR Blood Clinic appointments need to be booked with Reception as soon as you know the date for when you are next due.
