Welcome to Mill View Surgery
Welcome along to our surgery website where we hope you will quickly benefit from a user friendly layout and a wealth of information about our healthcare services. Find out when we’re open and what to do when we’re not, all from the comfort of your own home.
In light of the current pandemic we are changing the way in which the surgery operates.
To see a GP: Please ring the surgery between 8am and 10:30am, you will be added to a telephone consultation list. If the GP feels that you need a face-to-face appointment, they will arrange it with you when they call you.
To request your repeat prescription: Please download the NHS app and follow the instructions. If you don’t have the facility to be able to do this we will take repeat prescription requests over the telephone between 11am and 1pm only.
To collect your medication: Please collect your medication from the window between the hours of 1-3pm and 5-6pm only. Please note, you will be given two months of medication where possible.
We apologise for any inconvenience but are sure that you will understand that we are doing what we can to limit the spread of this virus.
Following a National Government initiative from 1st September 2018 extra appointments will be offered across the whole of East Staffordshire, including evening and weekend appointments. Additionally a new on line digital service will be available on Sunday mornings where appointments will be offered with a GP via the Q Doctor App. Posters will be available in the surgery shortly; please click on this link for further details https://www.qdoctor.io/
All practices across East Staffordshire are participating in this extended access. For further information please visit https://eaststaffsccg.nhs.uk/your-health/extended-primary-care-services.
The purpose of the Staffordshire Connects directory is to provide citizens with information about activities, groups and organisations that can help them to stay independent and well.
This includes information about home care providers, carers groups, leisure services, support groups, equipment and technology providers. There is also much, much more…
Staffordshire Connects acts as a central information resource for health and social care professionals, partner organisations and the voluntary sector. Organisations like Support Staffordshire are working with SCC to ensure the many VCSE organisations that they support are also added on.
As well as being a directory, Staffordshire Connects also provides access to:
- A health and wellbeing planner. The planner provides self-help information, advice and guidance on leading a healthier lifestyle. The short link for the health and wellbeing tool is www.staffordshireconnects.info/plan
- An equipment and technology product showroom – browse, search and compare different products that can make daily life that little bit easier
- A social care self assessment tool where by you can assess care needs and get some useful information, advice and guidance along the way
Named Accountable GP
Each of our patients has a named accountable GP. This doesn't mean that you have to see that GP each time you visit the surgery, instead it means that you can be reassured that one GP within the practice is responsible for ensuring that work is carried out on your behalf.
One Click Away
Convenience doesn’t stop there and you can now access a number of services online. Sending us your comments is just a click away. And if you’re not yet registered with us you can download the necessary forms here too.
It has come to our attention that many local residents have received a promotional letter from a company called Pharmacy2U. Please be aware that this is a marketing tactic from an online mail order pharmacy based in Leeds and, if you sign up (or 'nominate') them to be your pharmacy by returning the form with the letter, they will send your repeat medication via the Royal Mail. If you have received a letter from Pharmacy2U and are happy with us or your current nominated pharmacy and how you obtain your medication please ignore it.
Health and Happiness
Our team are dedicated to your continued good health and approach your care with professionalism, discretion and friendliness. You can count on a warm welcome from everyone involved here at the practice.
The surgery is quiet, comfortable and confidential and has been built with facilities for the disabled. Car park and toilet facilities are also available to patients.
Friends and Family Test
Would you recommend this service to Friends and Family?
The NHS Friends and family test is an important opportunity for you to provide feedback on the services that provide your care and treatment. Your feedback will help NHS England improve services for everyone.
After you appointment you will have the opportunity to complete a form asking "How likely are you to recommend our GP practice to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?". You will then be given 6 options ranging from "extremely likely" to "extremely unlikely". You then have the opportunity to comment on your answer. This test can also be completed online by visiting www.iwantgreatcare.org.
